What a long time ago Christmas seems!
In summary, I visited Bridgie's lovely house in London, then we had Christmas at Keith's - Tim and Bridgie with us and Phil on Skype; post Christmas was a trip to York to see Meriel, then back home in early January. Into that mix throw some of the most horrid driving conditions of recent years. Every time I was on a journey it was vile... Keith and Tim arranged sunshine - Bridgie and I torrential rain! Anyway journeys were completed safely and it was lovely to all be together.
Grandma's closest cousin died just before Christmas and the funeral was on the 3rd; it was good to be able to stay up with Meriel till after the funeral - a sad time.
It was lovely to return to Cornwall and I must admit a part of me doesn't want to venture beyond West Penwith! There have been amazing storms and wonderful seas. For Tassie folk, the Somerset levels are largely under water - some villages have been cut off since before Christmas and the only access is via boat.
Whilst with Bridgie she took me on her journey to work and visited her amazing offices. Wow! She cooked us a lovely meal in the eve - my contribution was getting the tele working!
Unfortunately didn't take any pics over Christmas and New Year but have taken many since. The weather has been amazing! Gales, huge seas and lots of rain.

There has been so much spray in the air it has almost looked like a summer haze. The waves have been massive. 30' ones recorded on the Sevenstones Reef lightship! It was breathtaking.
I had picked up a nasty cold while I was away and it took an age to throw off but seem to be there now. Gill Greenish - my old friend from Felmersham came to stay for a weekend and we had a lovely time. The games of Scrabble in the evening were definitely enhanced by the wine imbibed!
