Today was golf and then meeting up with a friends. The sun is now setting on the other side of the row... so the picture is taken from my patio looking along the backs of the terrace. Friday was a busy day getting ready for Bridgie's visit... I vac'd everywhere (almost) and did a big shop at Morrisons. In the evening I made my chutney... Alick's Pear and Ginger... I started it rather late so in the end I had to bottle it a bit runny! Still - I'm sure it'll taste good! Saturday the 12th was very exciting - Bridgie arrived at lunch time :-) We had a lovely walk down the Cot Valley in the afternoon... Bridgie clambered over the rocks - and we saw many bird watchers. |
After a lovely lazy start to Sunday we went for another long walk. This time to Cape via the Tregeseal valley. It was a beautiful day and we sat on the rocks in the sun and watched the sea at various points :-) We were both so tired on Monday that we had a day based at home - Bridgie had got the sniffles and was feeling very tired - not surprising after the last few months with her house upheavals etc. It's good to see her letting up :-) We did call in and see Paula and Rosie in the afternoon and had a lovely time reading stories to Rosie and listening to her chatter. We went down in the car to Cape to look at the sea but were both too tired to walk out anywhere - it was beautiful though :-) |
