Wednesday the 18th saw me packing ready to head off to Bath... I put everything bar me in the car ready for an early start :-) The sunset was lovely... and the moon rise equalled it! | Thursday 19th - to Bath. I set off at about 6am and it was a clear and easy drive up. I arrived about 10am and after a cup of tea and croissant as a second breakfast we headed out into Bath. Keith is training to be a city guide so he did a pratice run with me which was great :-) |
But Bridgie is a star and was hunting again straight away. She found a friend willing to let her stay in their spare room and (cutting a long story short) she and the girls have found a better place but they can't move in until November. Bridgie impresses me so much - anything that gets thrown at her she copes with with amazing equanimity... must have been having two big brothers that did it! :-)
Friday 20th we had a lovely walk out to Prior Park where Keith joined the National Trust! There are so many NT places that he will visit I'm sure it will prove to be a lot of fun! Prior Park is beautiful and will be lovely to visit at different times of the year :-) In the afternoon Keith drove us round some of the lesser known and I thought more beautiful crescents, and then to an Iron age fort site that he hadn't visited before. It was spectacular - huge and with wonderful vistas all round! Bath is a stunning place - we both seem to have found wonderful places to live :-) Below and right are the sunset sky from Keith's flat - it had been a lovely two days. |
