On the 7th I took Alison to Truro for an appointment at the hospital - just a check up for a knee and all was well. Afterwards I took her down to Malpas where we had lunch in THe Heron, and then I took her to St Clement for a walk...
The Table-tennis club have three teams in three divisions of the West Cornwall League - a bit serious for me - they were shocked at my ancient bat which I like so much but which needs new rubber. Still, it was good to meet them :-)
On Tuesday the 12th I took Anne, the golf buddy who took me up Chun Castle, to see Sandi Toksvig at Hall For Cornwall in Truro. We drove up in the afternoon and went to Malpas which she loved. We then parked near Lemon Quay and walked around the town before having a meal at a restaurant at the bottom of Lemon Street. Then it was off to the theatre - and it was brilliant. Sandi T was so funny - it was great to be entertained in such a wholesome way. I'd certainly go and see her again. The weather continued windy and sunny which meant another gorgeous walk and more windy golf! It is lovely to come home and light the fire. |
I do get a bit tired sometimes so had a few days doing very little, along with the usual walk in the wind, to enjoy the sea :-) I explored a new bit of headland - you can see how fierce the wind is - it was difficult to hold the phone still...but it was glorious... It remained very windy for a few days. |
